A large majority of our members have young children and we like to ensure that our activities are family friendly.

We have a relatively large cheder with four classes (Aleph to Dalet) that educates children from the ages of 5-13. Click here for more information about Cheder.

Once a year we have a weekend retreat for all families. Other members are also welcome either for the whole weekend or just tojoin us for activities or meals. This involves erev shabbat, shabbat day and sunday. We usually try to get special guests to lead us in various arts, crafts, poetry or drama activities. In addition, we have special children related activities for festivals such as Purim and Chanukah.

Recently we were very priviledged to have our Rabbi, who is also a scribe (Sofer) create for us a special mezuzah for the Cheder. The following link not only gives you his account of how one must prepare to write a mezuzah but also information on what to do before putting one up.
