The friday night Shabbat meal was much fun and simcha. This year the lovely vegetarian dishes were washed down with wine and wonderful apple cider brought from France by Ron and Kathy.
As always, there was more food than mouths and the potato salad was still going down well over the next two days. This year we were extremely lucky to have Judith Silver providing us with song and music for both erev Shabbat and Shabbat morning. Not only was her voice and guitar playing a pleasure, but she was a natural with the children who enjoyed learning new tunes with her .

The kids did a great job keeping themselves amused with games organised by Naomi and Francesca.
It definitely kept them tied up for a while. Now I know where the toilet paper went!
Saturday night was our usual BBQ night and though there was no bonfire this year we had a lovely havdalah service outside even though it was rather late so many of the younger kids had hit the sack.
This year Gary and Ismet did a great job on the cooking front.
This weekend away provides a great opportunity for members to get to know each and actually talk for the more than few minutes available after kiddush on a Shabbat. However for some it was all a bit too much.
